Troy M. Hannah's Obituary
Troy M. Hannah, 81, of Alliance, passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at 4:20 p.m. at McCrea Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on October 15, 1930 in Sugarcreek, and lived in the Louisville area most of his life. A graduate of East Canton High School, he was veteran of the Korean War, serving our country with the U. S. Air Force in Japan. Mr. Hannah was a member of Paris Israel Church and retired from Diebold in 1989. In his past-time, Troy enjoyed gardening, working in the yard, and helping with field work on the family farm. The family would like to thank the wonderful caregivers at McCrea Manor. He is survived by his two brothers, Robert C. (Jean) Hannah of Alliance, and Audley (Betty) Hannah of Miami, FL; a brother-in-law, Tony Engle of Canton; and nine nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, Walter C. and Phyllis (Shutt) Hannah; and a sister, June Engle. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Alan Lamb of Paris Israel Church officiating. Interment, with military honors provided by the Alliance American Legion Post 166 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1036, will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Canton.
