Tonya M. Emmons' Obituary
Tonya M. Emmons, 55, of Alliance, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, December 20, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center. Born on October 2, 1957 in Alliance, she lived in Alliance most of her life. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. In her past-time, she enjoyed her animals and her birds and squirrels, but especially loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. Survivors include a daughter, Nancy (Jason) Stutler of Alliance; her heart daughter, Melanie (Eric) Whorten of Canton; and her heart sister, Christine Hilliard of Alliance; 16 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; a brother, Jim (Judy) Emmons of Minerva; and one niece, Jamie (Shaun) Loy of Minerva. Preceding her in death were her parents, Homer and Barbara (Apitch) Emmons; and a grandson, Micah Hilliard. The family will receive friends at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Matthew Mankowski as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home, 1000 S. Union Avenue, Alliance, Ohio 44601.
