Thomas Wehner 's Obituary
Thomas E. “Tom” Wehner, 62, of Alliance, went home to be with the Lord on Friday morning, February 24, 2017 at his home.
Born on February 26, 1954 in Alliance, Ohio to Foster C. and Vera (Bell) Wehner, he lived in Alliance for all of his life. Tom was amember of Vine Street United Methodist Church.
A 1972 graduate of Alliance High School, he also graduated in 1987 from the University of Akron, where he received an Associate Degree in Applied Science.
Thomas had been previously employed at Transue & Williams Stamping Plant and was known as “Wolf Man”. He was then employed at the U.S. Postal Service in Alliance as a mail carrier and retired on February 29, 2016 after 28 years of service. He was a Trustee of the National Association of Letter Carriers, Local Union #297.
Tom enjoyed golfing and bowling. He was a huge fan of the Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns, Ohio State Buckeyes and Mt. Union Purple Raiders.
Survivors include his wife, Marsha (Herron) Wehner, whom he married on January 12, 1974; two daughters, Amanda Jean (Jack) Weber Jr. and Kelly Ann Wehner, both of Alliance; a grandson, Jackson Thomas Weber; a sister, Barbara (Donald) O'Dell of Alliance; a brother, Charles (Ramona) Wehner of Alliance; a sister-in-law, Tamara (Wayne) Whaley of Homeworth; three aunts, Virginia (Ray) Ravelli of FL, Helen Warren of Alliance and Betty Davis of Alliance; four nieces, Tammy, Becky, Andrea and Jenna; three nephews, Bill, Michael, and Chuckie. He is also survived by his grandpuppy, "Skittles"; Michael Roberts of Homeworth, OH, who was like a son to him; longtime friends, John and Ada Briden, Jr. & family; and several cousins.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Foster and Vera Wehner; and a niece, Tina Marie O’Dell.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 3, 2017 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home and also on Saturday, March 4, 2017 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Vine Street United Methodist Church. His Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 am with Rev. Thomas P. Dyer officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Grandview Cemetery.
