Thomas F Caserta's Obituary
Thomas F. Caserta, 69, of Alliance, passed away on Friday, January 25, 2013, at his home following a courageous battle with cancer. Born on July 6, 1943 in Alliance, he lived in Alliance most of his life. A 1961 graduate of Alliance High School he had attended Ohio State University. He served our country in the U. S. Air Force and was a member of the NRA. Tom attended the Alliance Church of the Nazarene, and was a machinist by trade for many years and had also worked for Western-Southern Life Insurance. He was very devoted to his friends, but especially loved spending time with his family. He loved watching his grandchildren grow up and always attended their many various sporting events. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. One of his greatest enjoyments was working in and taking care of his garden. Tom was great cook and was passionate about cooking, especially Italian food. He had a great sense of humor that never failed him. Survivors include his wife, Patricia (Frame) Caserta, whom he married on July 11, 1964; his children, Michele Caserta, Thomas A. (Wendy) Caserta and James D. (Daniele) Caserta all of Alliance; grandchildren, Danielle, Celeste, Nina, Thomas & Logan; a sister, Nancy Caserta Giovanini of Surprise, AZ; several nieces and nephews; and dogs, Maggie and Ginger. Preceding him in death were his parents, Thomas and Laura (Spiller) Caserta. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 29, 2013, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. His funeral service will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Glen Davidson, Pastor of the Alliance Church of the Nazarene officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home, 1000 S. Union Avenue, Alliance, Ohio 44601.
