Thomas T. Baddeley's Obituary
Thomas T. Baddeley, 72, of Alliance, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 24, 2013, at his home. Born on February 13, 1941 in Alliance, he lived in Alliance all of his life. He was a graduate of Alliance High School where he had played nose guard on their football team which won the 1959 All State Division Championship. A veteran of Viet Nam War, he served our country in the U. S. Coast Guard. A member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, he had been a football coach for St. Joseph/Regina Coeli School for numerous years. Tom retired from Babcock & Wilcox Tubular Products, where he was employed as a Senior Inspection Forman after 34 years of service. In his past-time, he enjoyed golfing and had been a member at Sleepy Hollow Golf Club. He also loved to travel and taking long rides in the country. He especially loved his family and his pets. Survivors include four daughters, Pamela (Kevin) Serafine of Lodi, Eileen (Timothy) McCaulley of Massillon, Marjorie (Randall) Johnson of Randolph, and Jane (Daniel) Rohr of Alliance; eleven grandchildren, Mitchell, Marty & Matthew Serafine, Valerie, Daniel & Shaun McCaulley, Ryan & Jacqueline Johnson, and Amber, Daniel & Spencer Rohr; one sister, Carole Craig of Alliance; two brothers, Burwell Baddeley of Sebring and Wade Baddeley of Alliance; several nieces and nephews; and his companion, Darlene Held. Preceding him in death was his wife, Maureen F. (McGuire) Baddeley on July 13, 2006, whom he married on September 16, 1961; his parents, Albert Edward and Axie Ann (Hiner) Baddeley; twelve sisters and brothers: Albert, Catherine, Delbert, Jack, Minnie, James, Ruth, Donna, Barbara, Nancy, Dave & Roberta. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St Joseph Catholic Church on Thursday, February 28, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Matthew Mankowski as celebrant. Interment, with military honors provided by the Alliance American Legion Post 166 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1036, will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home, 1000 S. Union Avenue, Alliance, Ohio 44601.
