Thelma L. Voshel 's Obituary
Thelma L. (Bankard) Voshel, 90, of Alliance, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at 12:09 pm at her home in Marlboro, Ohio.
Born on November 16, 1926 in Alliance, to John F. and Mary (Long) Bankard, she lived in Alliance for all of her life.
A 1945 graduate of Alliance High School, Thelma was the owner of Thelma's Gifts for 20 years before retiring in 2005.
Thelma loved a variety of crafts and enjoyed teaching crafts. She especially loved spending time with her family and taking pictures of family.
Survivors include her son, Ronn A. (JoAnn) Voshel of Marlboro; 8 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Charlene Zigler; and five nieces and three nephews.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Harlan Ross Voshel, whom she married on August 1, 1946 and died on December 17, 2006; a son, Gary R. Voshel; a daughter-in-law, Jeanie Voshel; her sister, Lois Icobony; her parents; and a nephew.
A Private Service will be held on Monday, October 2, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Highland Memorial Park. There will be no calling hours. Burial will immediately follow at Highland Memorial Park.
