Terry Lee Woodburn's Obituary
Terry L. Woodburn, 51, of Alliance, died on Monday, September 18, 2006, at 10:28 a.m. at Green Meadows Health & Wellness Center in Louisville following a brief illness. Terry was born in Akron on March 21, 1955. Terry grew up in the Cuyahoga Falls and Manchester areas before moving to Springfield, Ohio in 1970 where he graduated from Northeastern High School in 1973. After high school, Terry joined the Air Force and lived in Mississippi and Florida before returning to Ohio. For the past eight years he has been a resident of Park Place under the direction of ICAN with supervision by Community Services where he enjoyed spending time with his friends, painting, taking long walks around Alliance, helping others, and designing personal all occasion cards for his family and friends. Terry will be missed by all who knew him for his kind heart and gentle spirit. Terry is survived by his father, Richard Woodburn of Cape Coral, FL; two sisters, Cyndee (John) Farrell of Marlboro, OH and Wanda Gill of Oxford, NC; two brothers, Thomas (Alice) of Cuyahoga Falls, OH and Rick (Caprice) of Estero, FL; 13 nieces and nephews; and 12 great-nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his friends and caseworkers, Florence Hallett (Community Services) and Jim Carpenter (ICAN), and his friends and fellow housemates at Park Place, Lori, JJ, Cindy, Dreasilla, Angie, Maureen, William, Allen, Margaret, and Jerry who oversees the building and provided assistance to Terry. He was preceded by his mother, Vivian Cleo Woodburn-DeForest-Mundy. Friends may call at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Friday, September 22, 2006, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. A private family burial will take place on Saturday, September 23, 2006, in Mineral City.
