Terry Clayton Best's Obituary
Terry Clayton Best, 62, of Alliance, passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2010, at his home. He was born on December 19, 1947 in Alliance to the late Clayton and Gwen (Findley) Best. Terry attended Marlington High School and retired from General Motors. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Roma Society. In his past-time, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle and watching his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys. He is survived by his four children, Lori (Walt) Mudrick, Dennis (Robin) Best, Kenny Best and Michelle (Keith) McFarland; nine grandchildren, Sarah, Brian, Chrissy, Amanda, Terry, Kelsey, Katelyn, Jamie and Riley; three great-grandchildren, Connor, Clayton and Mariah; a sister, Chris (Bill) Dennison of Alliance; a brother, Lynn Best of Alliance; and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his companion and caregiver for the past nine years, Eileen Best; five step-children, Robby, Eric and Dusty Wright, Tina Huff and Christina Pettitt; several step-grandchildren; several step great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents; a brother, Tony; and two nephews, Clayton "Willie" and Jimmy. Funeral services will be held at Alliance City Cemetery on Wednesday, January 27, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. There will be no calling hours. Interment will follow at Alliance City Cemetery.
