Sylvia K. (Giacometti) Aquilo's Obituary
Sylvia K. (Giacometti) Aquilo, 84, of Alliance, died on Saturday, April 26, 2003, at 2:06 p.m. at Alliance Community Hospital. Born in Alliance on March 8, 1919, she had returned to live in Alliance after residing in Florida since 1956. Mrs. Aquilo was a member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church and had previously worked at Alliance Rubber Works. Survivors include her step-son and step-daughter-in-Iaw, Danny and Sharon Aquilo II of South Gate, MI; two grandchildren, Danny, III of Brownstown, MI and Dana of South Gate, MI; three great-grandchildren, Danny, IV, Kristi and Mikayla; a sister, Helen Stancato of Alliance; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her husband, Dante A. Aquilo on November 16, 2002, (whom she married on February 9, 1952); her parents, Reno and Livia Giacometti; a sister, Irene Stoller; and a brother, Robert Giacometti. Friends may call at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 30, 2003, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Regina Coeli Catholic Church on Wednesday, April 30, 2003, at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. J. Patrick Manning as celebrant. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
