Susan L. "Susie" Kinkopf's Obituary
Our beloved "Susie", Susan L. Kinkopf, age 50, passed away after a long-term illness on Friday, November 19, 2004. Born March 6, 1954, Susan was a lifetime resident of Alliance, residing in Louisville for the last two years. A member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church, she attended Regina Coeli Catholic Grade School and was a graduate of Alliance High School. Susan worked for Mount Union College and, most recently, was employed for the last eight years at Stark County MRDD TWI Workshops in Canton, in both the Ceramics and Craft Departments. Sue was happiest when she was creating craft projects, experiencing new adventures and being around people she loved. She was an optimist and soldier throughout her illness, as well as in life, and always managed to keep smiling, no matter what challenges came to her. Sue s unwavering, positive attitude and sweet nature were inspirations to anyone who knew her. At this time, our family would like to thank everyone who knew Susan, for all their love, support and prayers over the last couple of years. In spite of our deep sorrow, please celebrate her life with us. Susan is survived by her father, Edward Kinkopf, Sr., of Alliance; a brother, Dr. Ed Kinkopf, Jr. and his wife, Gaye and their children, Laura, Brett and Renee, of Xenia; a sister, Kathleen Kinkopf and her husband Enrico, of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and cousins, Patricia, Caroline and Joseph, all of Canton. She was preceded in death by her mother, Marge Kinkopf, in 1992 and recently by her uncle, Joseph Kinkopf. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Tuesday from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Regina Coeli Catholic Church on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Michael Seifert as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
