Steven R. Oyster's Obituary
Steven R. Oyster, 50 of Spring, Texas, died suddenly after fighting a courageous year long battle with esophageal cancer, on Thursday, September 14, 2006, at 7:45 p.m. at St. Luke s Episcopal Hospital in Houston, Texas. Steven was born on October 29, 1955, in Alliance, Ohio to Robert and Marilyn (Sefert) Oyster. He was a 1973 graduate on Alliance High School and a 1978 graduate of the University of Cincinnati. Steven was employed at Pittsburgh-Des Moines Inc. in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and also Chicago Bridge and Iron in The Woodlands, Texas, as a purchasing manager for a total of twenty-eight years. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Conroe, Texas and was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Knights of Columbus in Conroe, Texas. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 22 years, Lora (Geisse) Oyster and three children, Jacob Gabriel Oyster, Daniel Aaron Oyster, and Mary L. Oyster; mother, Marilyn Oyster; sister, Suzanne Domer and husband Brad Domer; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Linda and Phil Geisse; and sister-in-law, Lee Geisse. Steven is preceded in death by his father, Robert T. Oyster. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 27, 2006, at 11:00 a. m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Alliance, 427 E. Broadway, Alliance, Ohio with Msgr. James Kolp as celebrant. Interment will take place at Atwater Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
