Steven T. Loyer's Obituary
Steven T. Loyer, 48, of Alliance, died on Monday, April 1, 2002. Born in Norwalk, Ohio on January 21, 1954, he had lived in the Alliance area for 18 years. A graduate of Malone College, he was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and served in the Air National Guard. A follower of the Eckankar Religion, he was a home inspector for his business, MTJ Diversified. He was a member of the American Legion Post 791, the National Rifle Association, the William Penn Club, and was a former Cub Scout Leader. He is survived by a daughter, Jenny Loyer of Elyria; son and daughter-in-law, Matt and Tiffany Loyer of Alliance; son, Tony Loyer of Alliance; two sisters, Renee Whitney and Maria Hackathorn, both of Collins; four brothers, Thomas Loyer of Collins, Bernard Loyer, Jr. of LaGrange, Michael Loyer of Norwalk, and Daniel Loyer of Collins; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, Bernard and Carmella (Grizzanti) Loyer, Sr. A Memorial service, with Military Honors, will be held at Highland Memorial Park on Monday, April 8, 2002, at 2:00 p.m with Rev. William L. Gross, of First Assembly of God Church, officiating. There are no calling hours. Arrangements which include cremation, are being handled by Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home.
