Steven Farmer Gentile's Obituary
Steven Farmer Gentile, Sr., 48, of Alliance, died unexpectedly on Saturday, April 19, 2003. Born in Salem on July 15, 1954, he had lived in Alliance most of his life. He was formerly employed at Eljers of Salem. Mr. Gentile was a member of the Dante Alighieri Society, the Moose Lodge #362, the North American Hunting Club, and the Akron-Canton Dart Club. He was a bowler at the Christopher Columbus Bowling Lane and the College Plaza Lanes. He enjoyed motorcycling and coaching Hot Stove League baseball. He is survived by his wife, Darlene K. (Binius) Gentile (they were married on January 24, 1976): two sons, Steven Gentile, Jr. and William B.J. Gentile, both of Alliance; a grandson, Tyler Gentile; stepmother, Karen Gentile of Alliance; two sisters, Theresa Whipkey and Junelle Cunningham, both of Cameron, WV; two step-sisters, Kelly Gentile and Janice Gentile, both of Alliance; one brother, Mike Gentile of Alliance; one step-brother, Shawn Gentile of Alliance; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Jr. Gentile; his mother, Ann (Blythe) Gentile Stull; and his stepfather, Roy Stull. Friends may call at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 23, 2003, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Thursday, April 24, 2003, at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Chester Bryant officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
