Stanley F. Krizay's Obituary
Stanley F. Krizay, 78, of Salem, died on Sunday, April 4, 2010, at 10:00 a.m., at his home. He was born on January 5, 1932 in Norton Twp, and lived in Alliance and Salem areas most of his life. A graduate of Norton High School, Stanley was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict. Stanley was the manager for Brunswick at College Plaza Lanes for 40 years. Mr. Krizay was a member of the Alliance B.P.O. Elks Lodge #467 and the American Legion Post 166. In his past-time, he loved to fly and go boating. Survivors include two daughters, Lori (Timothy) Barnosky of Cleveland and Michelle Ogelvie of WI; two sons, Thomas (Patricia) Culbertson of Salem and Eric (Terri) Krizay of Alliance; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a brother, William (Dee) Krizay of Akron. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty J. (Cambell) Krizay; a son, Michael Culbertson; and his parents, Louis and Anna (Debevc) Krizay. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke on Thursday, April 8, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. with Paul Hutchison of First Baptist Church in New Philadelphia, officiating. Interment, with military honors provided by the Cuyahoga Falls American Legion Post 281, will follow at Lakewood Cemetery in Akron.
