Sophie L. "Sue" Simons' Obituary
Sophie L. "Sue" Simons, 79, of Alliance, died on Tuesday, July 8, 2003, at 8:44 p.m. at Alliance Community Hospital. Born in Alliance on March 22, 1924, she had been a resident of Alliance all of her life and was of the Catholic faith. Mrs. Simons is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Bob Lampe of Alliance; a son and daughter-in-law, Gerald L. and Debbie Simons of Alliance; seven grandchildren, B.J. Lampe, Gerry Simons Jr., Amy Bennett, Robyn Pencek, Dan Simons, Craig Simons, and Lisa Simons; eleven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her husband, William Simons, Jr., on January 23, 1994 (they were married on June 5, 1943); son, William Simons on December 7, 1996; a grandson, Billy Simons on January 23, 1994; her parents, Dominic and Edith Admonius; two sisters, Helen Pinter and Dorothy Muniz; and four brothers, Albert, John, Frank and Tony Admonius. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Thursday, July 10, 2003, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Friday, July 11, 2003, at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Donald L. Feicht, as celebrant. Burial will follow at Alliance City Cemetery.
