"Sonny" Estock's Obituary
Everett A. "Sonny" Estock, 64, of Barberton and formerly of Alliance, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2020 at 8:05 am at Barberton Hospital in Barberton, Ohio.
Born on November 11, 1955 in Alliance, to Everett and Shirley (Scaia) Estock, he lived in Barberton most of his life.
A 1974 graduate of Alliance High School, Sonny obtained multiple college degrees, including Summa St. Thomas School of Nursing, and the latest from Stark State College.
He was employed at DaVita Dialysis Center as a Charge Nurse.
Sonny played drums with many local Akron bands, including "The Detours", "The Nelsons" and the "Mickeys".
"Just because you are under pressure doesn't mean you can't perform."
Survivors include his mother, Shirley Powell of North Canton; sister, Cynthia (Kim) Hobart of Westminster, MD; two brothers, Eric R. (Rachel) Estock of Alliance and Jeffery R. (Maci) Estock of Orlando, FL; and several cousin, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Preceding him in death was his father Everett Sr. and his sister, Suzanne Marasky.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 23, 2020 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home. His Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 pm, with Very Rev. Canon Matthew J. Mankowski, of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, officiating.
