Shirley A. Wilton's Obituary
Shirley A. (Meek) Wilton, 87, of Alliance, passed away on Friday, January 28, 2022 at 7:30 am at Allay Senior Care Center of Meyers Lake in Canton, Ohio.
Born on November 14, 1934 in Midland, Pennsylvania to Adrian and Edna (Richardson) Meek, she lived in Alliance for most of her life.
A 1952 graduate of Midland High School, Shirley was a member of First United Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Cynthia (Bruce) Bunn of Alliance; four sons, Richard K. (Pat) Wilton Jr. of Westlake, James G. (Meri) Wilton of Alliance, Robert Wilton of Alliance and John (Leslie) Wilton of Avon Lake; son-in-law, Michael Favazzo of Alliance; fifteen grandchildren, Bruce, Jr., Brian, Tim, Tyler, Michelle, Christina, Michael, Victoria, Richard III, Stephen, Stephanie, David, Rebecca, Abbey and Luke; many great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Richard Keith Wilton, Sr., whom she married in August 1953 and who died on September 3, 2006; a daughter, Susan Favazzo; a brother, Eugene Meek; and her parents.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home. Her Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will immediately follow at Highland Memorial Park.
