Shirley A. Leasure's Obituary
Shirley A. Leasure, 68, of Canton, died on Sunday, April 9, 2006, at 3:29 a.m. at Aultman Hospital. Shirley was born in Bucyrus on March 27, 1938 and lived most of her life in the Canton area. Mrs. Leasure retired from the former Marcelle Nursing Home and Nist Geriatric Center where she was a nurses assistant. She is survived by her two daughters, Vicki A. (Donald) Guthrie of Canton with whom she lived and Cynthia (Vincent) McCauley of Canton; four sons, John F. (Tammy) Leasure III of Canton, William C. Leasure of Louisville, Glenn A. Leasure of Canton, and Timothy E. Leasure of Louisville; fourteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Glenna Jean Calhoun of Canton and Estella Harris of Alliance; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Leasure, Jr. on May 22, 1993 (they were married on April 19, 1955); her mother, Elizabeth Mary (Evans) Baughman; her father, Ellsworth Emery Baughman; her step-mother, Clara Winifred Baughman; three sisters, Betty Jean Steed, Eileen Steed, and Mary Elizabeth Baughman; and two brothers, Francis Paul Baughman and Jack Craig Baughman. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 12, 2006, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, April 13, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Randy Payne of the Alliance Baptist Temple officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
