Shirley L. Bingham 's Obituary
Shirley L. Bingham, age 89, formerly of Alliance, died Monday April 4, 2016 at Kingston Residence of Sylvania in Sylvania OH. She was beloved by not only her family but by all who knew her.
She was born March 21, 1927 in Greensburg OH to Talitha and Paul Weaver. She graduated from Greensburg High School and subsequently worked at Goodyear Tire & Rubber in Akron. After marriage to her husband, Gerald, they moved to Alliance in 1946 and she became a wonderful homemaker and mother who was very active in First Immanuel United Church of Christ where she headed or served on the kitchen committee for many years.
She moved to Sylvania in 2009 to be closer to family and became an active resident at her retirement home.
She was pre-deceased by her parents and brother Paul II, and by husband Gerald in 2005.
Survivors include daughter Carol (Bill) Bookout of Clio MI; son Donald (Linda) Bingham of Sylvania OH: neice Janice Klypchak of Cleveland OH; three grandchildren (Tara Fish, Tanya Bookout and Bradley Bingham) and two great-grandchildren (Brianna and Kayla Fish).
There are no calling hours and burial is private in Greensburg Cemetery.
Memorials or donations may be directed to First Immanuel United Church of Christ, 208 E. Oxford St., Alliance; or the Visiting Nurses Association, 885 S. Sawburg Ave., Alliance.
