Shirley Ann Anderson's Obituary
Shirley Ann Anderson, 88, of Alliance, Ohio, passed peacefully in her sleep on December 4, 2024 after a long illness.
Shirley was born on February 1, 1936 in Alliance to Roy and Violet Conrad. She spent her childhood years with her beloved sister Nancy and graduated from Sebring McKinley High School in 1954.
Shirley raised her two sons, Jim and Jeff, in Alliance and married Alex Anderson in 1967. They shared fifty-six wonderful years together before his death in 2023.
Over the course of her career, Shirley worked for Ohio Edison and the University of Mount Union prior to spending thirty years in service at Beechwood Christian Church, where she was also a devoted parishioner for a number of decades.
Shirley was never happier than when she was with friends, family, and her church community. She enjoyed crafting and attending craft fairs and could often be found hunting for a good bargain. She will be remembered as a caring sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend and faithful follower of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents Roy Conrad and Violet (Haines) Conrad; husband Alex Anderson; and brother-in-law Gene Boals.
Shirley is survived by her sister Nancy Boals of Salem; son Jeff Puckett (Mary) of Dallas, TX; son Jim Puckett (Carolyn) of Tucson, AZ; granddaughters Erin Puckett of Los Angeles, CA and Chelsea Puckett of Washington, D.C; and so many friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 7, 2024 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home. Her Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 am at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home. Burial will immediately follow at Fairmount Memorial Park.
