Shelley Lynn Melaney's Obituary
Shelley Lynn (Lacivita) Melaney, 47, of Alliance, lost a courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 5:10 pm at her home in Alliance.
Born on October 23, 1971 in Alliance to James and Barbara (Eckert) Lacivita, she lived in Alliance for all of her life.
A 1990 graduate of Marlington High School, she was employed at LaBella Day Spa as a cosmetologist for over 10 years.
She was a member of the Dante Alighieri Society and the William Penn Club.
Shelley loved animals, riding motorcycles, enjoyed movie night with her son and took great interest in her son's musical career, being his number one fan.
Survivors include her son, Austin James Melaney of Alliance; her mother, Barbara Lacivita and fiancé Dave Wahl of Alliance; her sister, Stacey (Justin) Taylor of Alliance; a special niece, Georgia Taylor; former husband, Charles Melaney of Alliance; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Preceding her in death was her father, James Lacivita on November 4, 2008.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home. Her Memorial Service will begin at 4:00 pm with Gary Greenamyer of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints officiating.
