Sharon Lee Bussie's Obituary
Sharon Lee (Shook) Bussie, 77, of Akron, and formerly of Alliance, passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2024, at 11:15 pm at Windsong Nursing & Rehabilitation in Akron, Ohio.
Born on March 29, 1946, in Alliance, to Carl and Pauline (Shook) Spinelli, she lived in Alliance for most of her life.
A 1964 graduate of Warren Harding High School in Bridgeport, Connecticut, Sharon was employed at Alliance Rubber and Coastal Pets.
She was a former member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles # 2174.
Sharon loved to knit and crochet. She would crochet hats to give to the children at schools, made hats for the Girl Scouts to give to the needy and most recently crocheted hats for the Cooper Cancer Center at Summa Hospital. Sharon also enjoyed bowling in local leagues in her younger years. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and spoiling them.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Mandy Kirsch of Akron; her sister, Cheryl VanCamp of Alliance; four nieces; and her extended family of grandchildren and loved ones.
Preceding her in death her husband, James L. Bussie, whom she married on August 10, 1986, and who died on June 16, 2016; her two sons, Richard Kirsch, Jr. and Matthew Bussie; her parents; and a brother, Darl Mosby.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 29, 2024, from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home.
