Sandra Sue Hobbs' Obituary
Sandra Sue Hobbs, 62, of Alliance, died on Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at 11:50 a.m. at Alliance Community Hospital. Born on May 20, 1944, in Coshocton, OH, she lived in Alliance for the past 15 years, moving here from Canton. A graduate of Glenwood High School and Rydall College, she retired from the Hoover Company where she worked as an assembler. Sandra was an active member of the Alliance Church of the Nazarene. She was also involved in the Children s Ministries, the Sunday School Board and the Women of Faith. She also volunteered her time at South Lincoln School. She enjoyed traveling, fishing, crocheting and sewing. She was a loving wife and best friend of Charlie Hobbs, who survives her; She is also survived by four daughters, Stephanie (Randy) Moore of Homeworth, Sue (Don) Johnson of Canton, Michelle Yarwood of Alliance, and Carolyn (Scott Frazier) Minear of Canton; two sons, Lt. Commander Christopher (Amy) Hobbs of Norfolk, VA, and Cameron (Rayanne) Hobbs of Massillon; fourteen grandchildren, Chuck, Chrystal, Vincent, Michael, Dawn, Cheyenne, Austin, Victoria, Kalib, Alexis, Conner, Rohan, Jen and Matthew; her parents, John and Millie (Hunt) Stockman of Tucson, AZ; four sisters, Marcy Coleman of Wolf Creek, OR, Linda Shimokuso of Chandler, AZ, Jean Stockman of Tucson, AZ, and Becky Stockman of Phoenix, AZ; a sister in spirit, Marlene Maxwell; several nieces, nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Missy Lohmeyer, and her mother-in-law, Arealda Mae Ewing-Hobbs-Six. Funeral services will be held at the Alliance Church of the Nazarene on Tuesday, March 27, 2007, at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Kevin Simpson, officiating.
