Sally Hartenstein's Obituary
Sally Ann Hartenstein, 76, of Alliance, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, October 24, 2012, at 5:00 a.m. at Green Meadows Health and Wellness Center in Louisville. Born on March 2, 1936 in Alliance, she lived in Alliance all of her life. She was a 1954 graduate of Alliance High School and was a member of Union Avenue United Methodist Church. Sally retired from B&W Tube (McDermott) Corporation, where she was employed as a secretary for 24 years. Mrs. Hartenstein was a member of the Carnation City Players and served as their secretary. In her past-time, she enjoyed collecting cook books, cooking and visiting the Amish Country. Survivors include her husband, Sidney Dan Hartenstein, whom she married on October 20, 1968; special caregiver, Mary Ann Horning of Alliance; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and her dear cat, Abigail. Preceding her in death were her parents, Selden J. and Mildred (Patterson) Mangus. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Friday, October 26, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Her funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Coralee Cox, Pastor of Union Avenue United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Salem Greenlawn Cemetery in Alliance. Arrangements are by the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home, 1000 S. Union Avenue, Alliance, Ohio 44601.
