Ruth Ann Ruff's Obituary
Ruth Ann Ruff, 83, formerly of 671 Fairview Place, died on Thursday, March 10, 2005, at 2:15 a.m. at McCrea Manor. Born on August 20, 1920, in Sebring, Ruth lived in Sebring and Alliance most of her life. She graduated from Sebring McKinley High School and then worked at the Royal China Company. She also worked in the Office of Censorship in Washington, D.C. She later was employed at the American Steel Foundries. Mrs. Ruff belonged to Regina Coeli Catholic Church and was a member of the Mary s Widow s Club and the Altar & Rosary Society. Ruth enjoyed her grandchildren and her hobbies were crocheting and reading. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara A. (Michael) Woolf of Alliance; her son, James M. (Susan) Ruff of Toledo; five grandchildren, Jonathan Woolf, Christopher Woolf, Sean Ruff, Emily Ruff, and Abby Ruff; her sister, Grace Kuniewicz of Sebring; her sister-in-law, Lucille Woods of Acworth, GA; and several nieces and nephews. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Warren E. Ruff on February 8, 1982, they were married on August 17, 1956; her parents, Thomas and Mary (Maley) Woods; her sister, Rose Mary Woods and her infant sister, Mary Woods; and her two brothers, Thomas Woods and Joseph Woods. Friends may call at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Sunday from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Regina Coeli Catholic Church on Monday at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Michael Seifert as celebrant. Internment will follow at Alliance City Cemetery.
