Ruth Annabelle Greenwalt's Obituary
Ruth Annabelle (Williamson) Greenwalt, 101, of Alliance, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 8, 2025 at 10:50 am at her home in Alliance, Ohio.
Born on July 11, 1923 in Monroe County, Ohio to Dale and Susanna (Salisbury) Williamson, she lived in Alliance most of her life.
Ruth was a member of the Alliance Church of the Nazarene and in her younger years was active in Girl Scouts and PTA.
She enjoyed baking and cooking, entertaining, and formed the Past 18 Card Club.
Ruth was employed at Alliance Family Center as a sales clerk and retired after 19 years of service.
She was a Life Member of the DAV Chapter 50 Auxiliary and was a member of Alliance #91 Auxiliary to Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War.
Survivors include her daughter, Ramona Greenwalt of Alliance; her son, Otto E. Greenwalt of Alliance; a step-grandson, Nicholas Price of Columbus; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Elmo R. Greenwalt, whom she married on November 17, 1945 and who died on August 18, 2000; her parents; two sisters, Alma Soles and Eleanor Kinsey; five brothers, Christopher, Manuel, Arthur, John "Everett" and Charles Williamson.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 13, 2025 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home. Her Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 am. Burial will immediately follow at Highland Memorial Park.
