Ruth A. (Brunie) Abbuhl's Obituary
Ruth A. Abbuhl (Brunie) died peacefully on Thursday December 16th at Alliance Community Hospital after a brief illness. Ruth was born October 24, 1919 in Alliance, Ohio to the late William J. Brunie and Blanche Buckley Brunie. Ruth was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many. She was the epitome of love, giving, caring and understanding during her entire life. She graduated from Alliance High School and was employed for twenty eight years at Armour and Company (Sancap), Alliance Machine Engineering Company, and retiring in December 1982 from Dr. W. Sam Park Surgeon s Office in Canton, Ohio. She was a member of Church of the Savior United Methodist Church in Canton, Ohio, and AARP Chapter 2894 of North Canton, Ohio, past member of Trirosis and past president of Trirosis Evening Garden Club. Survivors include her three daughters, Sondra Esporite and Nancy (Armand) Lenarz of North Canton and Susan (George) Hays of Sebring; five grandchildren, Jeffery Lenarz of Canton, Dr. Michelle Lenarz (David) Anderson of North Canton, Scott (Angela) Esporite of Uniontown, Sarah Hays of Cleveland, and George (Jana) Hays II of Prague, Czech Republic; three great grandchildren: Joshua Lenarz, Benjamin Esporite and Kaitlyn Esporite; and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Olin William Abbuhl, brothers, William, Robert, and Donald Brunie, sister, Dorothy (Brunie) Smith, son-in-law Dr. Bernard Esporite, grandson Armand Lenarz II, niece Linda (Abbuhl) Neczporenko and great nephews Hugh Brunie and Ray Wright,. The family wishes to thank the caring staff at Copeland Oaks, Crandall Medical Center and Alliance Community Hospital for their loving and compassionate care of our mother and to Dr. Charles Smith for his years of care. Services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010, at Sharer-Stirling- Skivolocke Funeral Home, with the Rev. David Perry officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home the hour prior to the service, 10 - 11 a.m., on Tuesday. Burial will take place at East Avenue Cemetery in New Philadelphia, Ohio.
