Rudolph "Peppy" Mazzei's Obituary
Rudolph "Peppy" Mazzei, 80, of Alliance, died on Sunday, February 3, 2008, at his home. He was born on January 4, 1928 in Alliance, and lived in Alliance all of his life Rudolph was a U. S. Air Force veteran serving in World War II. A member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mr. Mazzei retired from the Alliance Rubber Company, where he was employed as a security guard. Peppy was a member of the VFW and American Legion in Sebring and also the Dante Alighieri Society and the Christopher Columbus Society. He is survived by three daughters, Tammy Minger of Alliance, Valeri Lewis of Alliance and Tina Smith of Robertsville; a son; Paul Mazzei of Alliance; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; three sisters, Louise Bericchia of Alliance, Gloria Dossi of Alliance and Judy Weedling of New Hampton, PA; a brother, Armando Mazzei, Jr.; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death was his wife, Patricia L. (Kuntzman) Mazzei on March 19, 2000, whom he married on June 27, 1958; his parents, Armando and Mary (Maffei) Mazzei; and a brother, Oswalt Mazzei. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Thursday, February 7, 2008 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will be held at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Thursday, February 7, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Donald L. Feicht, Pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church, officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
