Roy D. Offill's Obituary
Roy D. Offill, 70, of Alliance, who died on Sunday, November 24, 2002, at his home, was born in Olive Hill, Kentucky on Jan. 24, 1932. He had been a resident of Alliance for 54 years. He retired from American Steel Foundry, where he had served as a Crane Operator and Lab Technician for 37 years. Survivors include his wife Sellar (Middleton) Offill of 47 years; three sons, Darrell Offill of Alliance, Art Offill of Alliance and Darius Offill of Canfield; two daughters, Winna Offill of Canton and Wanda Land of Austintown; five grandchildren; one great- grandchild; three brothers, Zerl Offill, Glenn Offill and Elmo Offill; four sisters, Betty Rose, Lola Mabry, Jewell Steagall and Shirley Offill; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, Johnson and Oney (Goodman) Offill; and a daughter-in-law Robin Offill. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Friday, November 29, 2002, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Saturday, November 30, 2002, at 10:00 a.m. with Elders Burl Middleton, Jim Owens and Arthur J. Hale officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
