Roy A. Lipply's Obituary
Roy A. Lipply, 70, of Rootstown, died on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at 11:00 p.m. at his home. Born on May 20, 1942 in Alliance, he lived in this area all of his life. Mr. Lipply was a veteran serving our country in the U. S. Marine Corps. He retired from Roofers Local #88 in 2002. In his past-time, he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife, Ruby A. (Barker) Lipply, whom he married on April 1, 1967; three sons, Scott (Rhonda) Lipply of Edinburg, OH, Jason (Hellena) Lipply of Atwater, OH and Joshua Lipply of Akron, OH; five grandsons, Ryan, Coty, Trevor, Jared & Andrew; two great-granddaughters, Addison & Rylan; two sisters, Shirley & Martha; three brothers John "Sonny", Joe & Ed; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death was his parents, John and Martha (Binius) Lipply. The family will receive friends at the Chapel at the Hartzell Cemetery on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. His funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Joe Peters officiating. Interment, with military honors provided by the Alliance American Legion Post 166 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1036, will follow at Hartzell Cemetery in North Benton.
