Roy Thomas Butz's Obituary
Roy Thomas Butz, 44, of Alliance, died on Friday, July 6, 2007 at 2:52 a.m. following a vehicle accident. Born on May 22, 1963 in Akron, he had lived in Alliance for the last 22 years. Roy enjoyed working on cars and doing landscaping. He was also an avid Browns fan. Survivors include his life companion, Robert "Bud" Congrove of the home; and his "adopted family", Dorothy & Leroy Congrove Sr. of Alliance, Mary Wervey of Zanesville and Georgia Fluharty of Wintersville. He is also survived by his mother, Louise Stacey of Akron, three sisters, Helen MacBride, Chris Murphy and Vera Bennett, all of Akron; five brothers, Tom Messier of Wooster, David Butz of Akron, Charlie Butz of Akron, Al Butz of Texas and James Butz of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death was his father, Thomas William Butz. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Thursday, July 12, 2007, from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m., with funeral services beginning at 3:00 p.m. The Rev. Fr. Louis Santucci will officiate.
