Rowena "Rene" Mae Persello's Obituary
Rowena "Rene" Mae Persello, 69, of Alliance, died on Tuesday, November 10, 2009, at 4:00 a.m. at Alliance Community Hospital. She was born on June 28, 1940 in Alliance, and lived here all her life. A graduate of Sebring High School, she took adult continuing education classes for computer lessons to further her secretarial skills. She worked most of her life as a secretary at various local businesses. Mrs. Persello was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church and was involved in many functions at the church including working the Christmas craft shows and at the hard tac candy sales. She was a CCD teacher and was involved in the Confirmation classes. In her past-time, she liked to sew, make crafts and read Christian literature. Most of all she loved her family, friends and God. In her younger days she enjoyed playing cards with friends. Rene is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Nelso Persello whom she married on May 9, 1959; two daughters, Laura (John) Bails of Sebring and Lisa (Eric) Lautzenheiser of Alliance; two sons, Glenn Persello of Alliance and Gary Persello of AZ; six grandchildren, Tasha (Josh) Cessna, Malina (Tom) Erb, Jeremy Persello, Justin Persello, Jordan Persello and Bly Persello; two great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Alice (Persello) Bostwick and Linda Binius; a brother-in-law, Frank Persello; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, Edward R. and Amelia "Peg" (Marconi) Binius, Sr.; and three brothers, Edward Binius, Jr., George Binius and Les McGrath; and several aunts and uncles. There will be no services or calling hours at this time. Interment will take place at a later date at St. Joseph Cemetery.
