Rowena M. Ludu's Obituary
Rowena M. (Carpenter) Ludu, 84, of Alliance, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2026 at 2:45 pm at Bel Air Senior Living Community in Alliance, Ohio.
Born on March 19, 1942 in Gassaway, West Virginia to Floyd and Sharlet (Stout) Carpenter, she lived in Alliance most of her life.
Rowena was previously employed at Bel Air Care Center as a Dietary Aide for over 15 years.
She enjoyed cooking, reading cookbooks, watching television shows about cooking, making grocery lists, and playing cards with her brothers and sisters. She loved being the center of attention and was always the life of the party.
She is survived by her daughter and two sons, Carla Johnson, Victor (Ann) Ludu, III, and Troy Ludu; grandchildren, Erica (Corey) Humbert, Alexandra Johnson, Robert (Samantha) Clark, Victoria (Justin) Glazier and Meghan (Tommy) Snyder; great-grandchildren, Callie and Blake Humbert, Nora and Presley Snyder, Trinity and Raegan Glazier, and Keagan Turgeon Johnson; her siblings Louise Marks, Marvin (Beverly) Carpenter, Rosie Best, Susan (Ronald) Emplit, Donald Carpenter and Tom Carpenter; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Carol Eberling, Burl Carpenter, Paul Carpenter, Audrey Graham, and Diane Rose.
A very special thank you to her care teams at Bel Air Care Center and Southern Care Hospice. She considered each and every one of you family.
Her Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, June 14, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the American Legion Post 76, 395 W. California Ave, Sebring, OH 44672.
