Rosemary M. Sollazzo's Obituary
Rosemary M. (Frank) Sollazzo, 92, of Alliance, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at 8:56 pm at her home in Alliance.
Born on March 27, 1932 in Alliance, to Maurice F. and Margaret A. (Schieser) Frank, she lived in Alliance all of her life.
A 1950 graduate of Alliance High School, Rosemary was employed at Sears, working at the catalog desk as a bookkeeper / clerk and retired in 1989 after more than 30 years of service.
Rosemary was a sternly devout Catholic who was a faithful and active parishioner at Regina Coeli Catholic Church and formerly served as a Eucharistic Minister. She was a member of the former Regina Coeli Altar and Rosary Society and the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary.
Rosemary enjoyed gardening and canning and in her younger years was a member of a ladies’ bowling league. She lived her life in the service of others and was always available as a caregiver to friends and family in need.
Survivors include her son, Andrew C. Sollazzo of Alliance; her daughter, Margaret Sollazzo of Cleveland; two granddaughters, Eva (Marcus Coakwell) Sollazzo and Madelyn Sollazzo; and two brothers, Ronald and Warren Frank, both of Alliance; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Charles P. Sollazzo, whom she married on June 25, 1960 and who died on April 2, 2000; two infant sons; her parents; four sisters, Eileen Dugan-Caruso, Gertrude Drayer-Kaltenbach, Christina Kaltenbach and Clara Kinser; five brothers, Norbert, Orval, Urban, Gerald and Lester Frank.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 16, 2025 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 17, 2025 at 10:00 am at Regina Coeli Catholic Church, with Rev. G. David Weikart, as celebrant. Burial will immediately follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
