Rose P. Oates' Obituary
Rose P. Oates, 61, of Alliance, died on Wednesday, September, 3, 2008, at her home. She was born on June 23, 1947 in Alliance, and lived in Alliance all of her life. Rose retired from the V.F.W., where she was employed as a bartender. She had also helped manage apartments in Akron with her husband Jim for many years. Mrs. Oates liked to collect angel statues. She is survived by her husband, James Oates whom she married on December 15, 1995; three daughters, Sherry (John) Booth of Alliance, Tina Oates of Clearwater, FL and Roxanne (Don) Musisca of Canton; eleven grandchildren; a sister, Mary Blake of Alliance; three brothers, Ralph (Bonnie) Underwood of Alliance, Roy (Shirley) Underwood of Canton and James (Mary) Underwood of Alliance; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, Andrew J. and E. Obera (Harris) Underwood; two sisters, Edie McDaniels and Bea Anderson; and a brother, William Underwood. A Memorial service will be held at a later date. There will be no calling hours.
