Rose E. Dean's Obituary
Rose E. Dean, 86, of Alliance, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and her grandson, Joseph McGowan, on Sunday, April 6, 2008, at 4:35 a.m. at McCrea Manor. She was born on December 15, 1921 in Canton, and had lived in Alliance since 1941. She was a member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church. Rose was previously employed at Stewart Brothers Paint, Ponderosa Steak House and had retired from the Alliance Women s Club where she had served as a waitress. Mrs. Dean enjoyed playing bingo, loved to be around people, and treasured her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Reuben C. Dean whom she married on August 23, 1941; a daughter, Judy A. (Robert) McGowan of Alliance; a son, Ronald Joseph (Sue) Dean of Alliance; three grandchildren, DeAnn (Louie) Zavarelli, Beth (Rick) Baltes and Christopher (Sarah) Dean; four great-grandchildren, Joseph and Christian Zavarelli and Owen and Ryan Baltes; two sisters, Lucy Owens of Alliance and Arlene Baddeley of Sebring; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceding her in death was a grandson, Joseph McGowan; her parents, Joseph and Nicolleta (Coppa) Artaville; and a brother, Sebastion Artaville. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 9, 2008 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Regina Coeli Catholic Church on Thursday, April 10, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Michael Seifert, as celebrant. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
