Rose M. "Ro" Cook's Obituary
Rose M. "Ro" Cook, 90, of Alliance, died on Saturday, August 22, 2009, at 11:40 a.m. at McCrea Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Rose was born on August 10, 1919 in Lisbon, Ohio and was of the catholic faith. She has been a resident of McCrea Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center since 2006 where she has received loving care from all, especially Diane Martin. Miss Cook had worked at Timken Roller Bearing in Canton, the former Strong Manufacturing Company of Sebring and also at the Alliance Manufacturing Company. Rose really enjoyed Polka dancing at the former Lake Park Dance Hall in the 1930 s and 1940 s. She also liked playing cards, crocheting & cooking, and loved spending time with her family. Rose was the last of nine siblings and is survived by several nieces and nephews including Lisa Furry, who resided with Rose. Preceding her in death were her parents, Michael and Lucia (Campinelli) Cook; three sisters, Mary DeGirolamo, Jenny Vizzuso, and Josephine Gline, with whom Rose resided for many years; and five brothers, Tony, Fred, Angelo, Dominic, and Johnny Cook. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 25, 2009 from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. Funeral services will begin at 11:30 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Donald L. Feicht, Pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
