Ronald Lee "Ronnie" Wallace's Obituary
Ronald Lee "Ronnie” Wallace, 72, of Alliance, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2026.
He was born on April 17, 1954 in Alliance, to Kenneth L. and Carol A. (Reisch) Wallace.
Ronnie was a 1972 graduate of Marlington High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, which was his lifelong dream. He was stationed at Ft. Polk.
He was a member of the DAV (Disabled American Veterans) Chapter 50, V.F.W. Post 1036 and the American Legion, Post 166. He was an avid Army history buff and Veteran supporter.
He frequently wrote letters and sent cards to his family for birthdays and special occasions. He had a passion for researching family genealogy which he began with his grandmother.
Ronnie looked forward to driving his LeMans. He was very fond of animals, especially his cat, Galliger.
Through the years he completed multiple online college courses from Ashland University and Kent State University.
He enjoyed going on family vacations, especially traveling for three weeks to California to visit relatives and several national parks.
Survivors include his two sisters, Sheryl Dean and Lori L. Wallace, both of Alliance; his niece, Megan M. Meese of Alliance; and great-nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
A private funeral service will be held at Fairmount Memorial Park.
