Ronald E. Timmerman's Obituary
Ronald E. Timmerman, 73, of Salem, died on Thursday, January 19, 2006, at 5:30 a.m. at his residence. Born in Smithfield, OH, on July 30, 1932, he had lived in the Alliance-Salem areas all of his life. Ron attended Alliance High School and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Mr. Timmerman was employed as an engineer at several area companies including Morgan Engineering Company, Robert E. Roberts of Salem, NRM of Leetonia, McNeil of Akron, and Bliss of Salem. He worked for many years for the Alliance Machine Company before retiring from East Ohio Machinery. He was a member of the Academy of Model Aeronautics, a safety officer of the Columbiana County Centaur RC Club of Lisbon, and a former member of the Balsa Bee s of Alliance. Ron is survived by his wife, Betty Marie (Schnieder) Timmerman whom he married on February 12, 1954; his children, Ronald E. (Billie Jo) Timmerman, II, of Alliance and their children, Katrina and Ronnie; Terry E. (Debbie) of Tulsa, OK and their children, Alisha and Tara; Michelle M. Paige of Salem and her children, Gary, Michael and Ricky III; Melissa A. (Mark) White of Salem and their daughter, Desiree; and Dana L. (Rex) Davis of Sebring and their children, Nikki and Amber; a great-granddaughter, Naomi; a brother, William Timmerman of St. Petersburg, FL; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Rick Paige, Jr.; parents, William Emmitt and Elizabeth (Foster) Timmerman; and brothers, David and Harold Timmerman. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Sunday, January 22, 2006, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Funeral services, with military honors provided by the Alliance American Legion Post 166 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1036, will begin at 4:00 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. Jo Ann Patterson of the Central Presbyterian Church officiating.
