Ronald J. Kron's Obituary
Ronald Jacob Kron, a lifelong resident of Alliance, was born August 18, 1937 and passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Sunday afternoon March 23, 2025.
Ron was a proud alum of Alliance High School and Mount Union College, where he participated in Army ROTC. Following his education as an Industrial Engineer, he served for 6 years in the Army Reserves while working as a manufacturing executive for various firms in the stark county region.
An avid Purple Raider football fan, Ron was a dedicated season ticket holder for 50 years, with a "don't miss a game" attitude. If work or Raider football wasn’t filling up his days he could be found at Alliance Country Club golfing and playing cards with friends.
Ron is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary Alice (Sluss) Kron. Together, Ron and Mary have three children: David Kron (Ellen Powell), Jennifer Kron Gall (Tim Gall), and Spencer Kron (Elizabeth Gromada). They are also blessed with five grandchildren: Michael Gall, Katherine Gall, Edward Kron, Mary Kron, and Emily Gall; and to Ron’s delight, one great grandchild, Oliver Kron.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Aultman Alliance Hospice, who provided comfort to Ron during his final days.
Private family services will be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Aultman Alliance Hospice, 2821 Woodlawn Ave. NW Canton, OH 44708.
