Ronald A. Hunt's Obituary
Ronald A. Hunt, 91, of Alliance, passed on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 9:50 a.m. at Alliance Community Care Center. Born on August 2, 1921 in Alliance, he lived in Alliance all of his life. He was a graduate of Deerfield High School. A member of First Christian Church Disciples of Christ for over 50 years, Mr. Hunt had been employed at B&W Rush Street during WWII and retired from the Morgan Engineering Co., where he was employed as a Crane Erector for over 30 years. Mr. Hunt was a member of the American Bowling Congress for over 65 years and had bowled for several area leagues. In his past-time, he enjoyed woodworking, golfing, watching sports on TV and especially watching his grandchildren play sports. Survivors include his wife, Delores (Vickers) Hunt, whom he married on November 25, 1943; a daughter, Bonita Kuntzman of Alliance; a son, Larry R. (Carol) Hunt of Sebring; 5 grandchildren, Chris Hunt of Kent, Todd (Laura) Hunt of Powell, OH, Jill (Jeremy) Schlarb of Findlay, OH, Douglas Kuntzman of Alliance and Brent (Alicia) Kuntzman of Alliance; 11 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson; a brother, Edward Hunt of Deerfield; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, Roy and Harriet (Baier) Hunt; 2 sisters, Evelyn Schmidt and Dorothy Henderson; and 2 brothers, Bernard Hunt and Kenneth Hunt. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Pam Bruno officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
