Ronald A. Alfani's Obituary
Ronald A. Alfani, 84, of Alliance, passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2016.
Ron was born on June 26, 1932 in Alliance, to Eleno and Ada (Menechlli) Alfani, who came to this country through Ellis Island from Italy.
Ron was a 1950 graduate of Alliance High School and a veteran of the Korean War serving our country in the U.S. Air Force.
Ronald retired from Schwebels where he was a Supervisor for many years.
He was a 60 year member of American Legion Post #166 and was also a member of Teamsters Local #92.
Ronald loved all sports, especially all Cleveland teams. When younger, he played at Goat Hill. He loved golf and had three hole-in-ones, two at Skyland Pines and one at Flying Bee. He assuredly has his buddies Frank Schubert, Tony Orlando, Tee Massauri and Butch Muniz all ready to play a round of golf.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn “Honey” (Brankel) Alfani, whom he married November 10, 1979; six children, Vicki Burrier of Florida, Tony Alfani of Arkansas, Bob (Lisa) Alfani of Kentucky, David Alfani of Wisconsin, Joe (Holly) Alfani of Alliance and Mark (Darlene) Alfani of Louisville, OH; a step-daughter, Sherry Clark of Florida; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; his sister, Rena Gatien of Alliance; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents; a sister, Vera (Ray) Butler; three brother-in-laws, John Gatien, Bill Brankel, and Bob Brankel; a step-daughter, Suzy Blair; and a sister-in-law, Shirley Fryrear.
Ron's family would like to thank the Alliance Hospice, and especially Diana, for all their help and compassion they gave to Ron.
Private services will be held. Entombment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
