Roger P. Aubin's Obituary
Roger P. Aubin, 89, of Alliance, died on Sunday, August 14, 2005, at 8:10 p.m., at Community Care Center. Roger was born in Lake Linden, Michigan on October 7, 1915, and lived in Alliance for most of his life. Mr. Aubin was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving in the Merchant Marine Corps., and was a member of the V.F.W. Post 1036, where he was a Past Quarter Master. He was also a member of the D.A.V. Chapter 50. He was also a long time member of the B.P.O. Elks Lodge #467. Mr. Aubin was the owner of Aubin Real Estate Agency, and attended St. Joseph Catholic Church. Surviving are sisters, Marcy Wells of Mentor, Helen Lompra of La Feria, TX. and Doris Falkman of Painesville; and a long-time friend, Robert A. Lower, Sr. of Alliance. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen Mae (Stahl) Aubin, on November 26, 1989; his parents Leah (Marcelain) Aubin and David Damon; one brother Raymond Aubin; one sister Lenora Helton; and a long-time companion, Betty Johns. Friends may call at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Thursday, August 18, 2005, from 1:00 -2:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. Interment, with military honors provided by the Alliance American Legion Post 166 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1036, will follow at Fairmount Memorial Park.
