Rodger C. Glaspell's Obituary
Rodger C. Glaspell, 76, of Alliance, passed away on Monday, October 2, 2023 at 9:36 am at his home in Alliance, Ohio.
Born on May 13, 1947 in Clarksburg, West Virginia to Edward and Marygold Ann (Lance) Glaspell, he lived in Alliance for most of his life.
A veteran of the Vietnam Era, he served our country in the U.S. Army receiving multiple awards including the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart.
Rodger was employed at American Steel Foundry retiring after more than 30 years of service.
He was a member of the American Legion Post #166 and the Cushman Club of America.
Rodger enjoyed attending flea markets and collecting trains and model cars.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Janice (Riffle) Glaspell, whom he married on September 9, 1972; son, Ryan M. (Kristen) Glaspell of Jackson Township; daughter, Andrea R. (Paul) Cseplo of Twinsburg; four grandchildren, Abigail J. Glaspell, Sofia R. Cseplo, Lucas T. Glaspell and Jacob D. Glaspell; mother-in-law, Kathryn J. Donofrio of Sebring; a nephew, Clay Glaspell; and several cousins.
Preceding him in death were his parents and his brother, Zane A. Glaspell.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 8, 2023 from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home. His Memorial Service will begin at 2:00 pm, with Pastor Brandon Wilbur, of New Hope Church of God, officiating. Military Honors will immediately follow.
