Rockne C. Flugan Sr.'s Obituary
Rockne C. Flugan, Sr., 53, of Alliance, died on Tuesday, December 12, 2006, following a vehicle accident at State Routs 183 & 153. Rockne was born on February 10, 1953, in Salem, and lived in Sebring and Alliance all of his life. Mr. Flugan was a self-employed mechanic and was the owner of C & D Auto. He is survived by his wife, Ruth (Brumbaugh) Flugan whom he married on June 3rd of this year; a daughter, Nicole Flugan of Florida; two sons, Rockne C. Flugan, Jr. of Sebring and Robert Flugan of Alliance; four step-daughters, Gail (James "Phill") Hill of Minerva, Elizabeth (James Lemon) Shasteen of Alliance, Mary Louise (Mark) Morris of Alliance, and Barbara Flecher of Carrollton; 5 grandchildren; his mother, Gertrude Mitchell of Alabama; a step-mother, Shirley Flugan of Sebring; four sisters, Deb Hightland of Alliance, Michelle Felgenhauer of Alliance, Belinda Keene of Beloit, and Theresa Wilson of Sebring; and several nieces and nephews. Rockne was preceded in death by his second wife, Sheri Hernandez; his father, Rockne B. Flugan, Sr,; a sister, Cindy Flugan; and a brother, Eddie Flugan. A Memorial Service will be held at the First Church of God on Friday, December 15, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Larry Murphy, officiating. There will be no calling hours.
