Robert Lee Steele's Obituary
Robert Lee Steele, 74, of Alliance, died on Monday, November 15, 2010, at 9:30 a.m. at his home. He was born on January 2, 1936, in Beloit, and lived in Sebring and Alliance all of his life. Robert was a graduate of Alliance High School and later became a paralegal. Mr. Steele was a U. S. Air Force veteran and had retired as a Postal Worker with the Alliance Post Office. He was a member of the Alliance Amateur Radio Club and the Masonic Temple Conrad Lodge #271. Robert is survived by his wife, Alfreda M. (Clark) Steele whom he married on September 17, 1957; a daughter, Dawna M. (Alan) Davidson of Little Mountain, Queesnland, Australia; two sons, Thomas A. Steele of Alliance and Gerald D. (Marjorie) Steele of Avon Lake; five grandchildren, DeAnna, Joshua, Audrey, Alison and Caroline; a great-granddaughter, Ryanne, a sister, Karen Steele of Mukilteo, WA.; a brother, Paul Steele of San Diego, CA; and one niece and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, James E. Steele; his parents, Raymond W. and Hilda M. (Black) Steele; and a brother, William L. Steele. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Thursday, November 18, 2010 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Friday, November 19, 2010, at 11:00 a.m with the Rev. Chester Bryant officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
