Robert J. "Bobby" LaNave's Obituary
Robert J. "Bobby" LaNave, 59, of Alliance, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, May 21, 2013. Born on September 24, 1953 in Alliance, he lived in Alliance most of his life. He was a 1971 graduate of Alliance High School and attended Mt. Union College. Bobby was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and served as an Altar Boy and sang in the choir in his younger years. Mr. LaNave was a member of the Musician s Union. He was a lifelong area musician, singer and song writer. Survivors include his two sons, Paul Middaugh and Anthony DiFebbo; two sisters, Ramona and Tina; four brothers, Richard, Patrick, David and Anthony Jr. "Hoppy"; his "Soul Mate", Esther Murphy; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Preceding him in death was his wife, Linda LaNave; his parents, Anthony and Gayle (Kettring) LaNave; three sisters, Mary Gayle, Linda, and Rosemary. "One rose for all the dreams come true, the many reasons I Love You. Like the strength of your heart and playful little smile. I will love you forever and then for a while." - Love always, Bobby. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Friday, May 24, 2013 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. His funeral service will begin at 7:00 p.m. Interment will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
