Robert C. Hartzell, 82, passed peacefully on November 26, 2023 surrounded by his family. Born March 29, 1941 in Canton, Ohio to father, Clair and Anne Isabelle (Allen) Hartzell. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, J Read Obituary
So for longer than most people would know, Bob was a great friend to many Firefighters here in town. He worked out at the Y the same time as a lot of us did along with others.(Gary) Back at the station for many years we would share Bob stories with each other. I in particular was very proud that my son got to meet Bob at the gym and discuss UMU topics. Now he and some of the other firefighters can share Bob stories. Bob will be missed greatly for the role model he was to us.

"Old Robert C" was the best. He was one of my favorite human beings. He was a kind, gentle soul. I learned so much from him. I hope he enjoys the agility training with the dogs in heaven. The earth has truly lost one of the good ones. My heart goes out to Joanne, Debbie, Kristen and the grandkids.

One thing I always looked forward to when going to the Y was talking with Robert. He was loved by everybody and will be deeply missed. RIP Robert.
