Robert H. Frank's Obituary
Robert H. "Bob" Frank, 89, of Alliance, passed away on Friday, September 21, 2012 at his home with his family at his side. Born on June 4, 1923 in Alliance, he lived in Alliance all of his life. A veteran of World War II, he served our country in the U. S. Army Air Corps. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Maximo and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He retired from the Alliance Electric Company after 32 years and following his retirement in 1978, he was the founder and owner of Frank s Electric, which his son Brian continues his legacy. In his past-time, he loved spending time with his family, grandchildren & great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed traveling and playing cards with many friends. Survivors include his wife, Mary Frank, whom he married on June 18, 1947; his children, Robert "Bill" (Marilyn) Frank of Salem, Ruth "Dolly" Schlabig of North Port, FL, Marilyn (Herbert) Lebo of North Port, FL, Debbie (Tom) Campbell of Alliance, and Brian (Tracy) Frank of Alliance; 18 grandchildren; and 39 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Bernard (Helen) Frank of Beloit, Richard Frank of Alliance, Sr. Helen Mary of Richfield, OH, Catherine Skolosh of Homeworth, Paul (Florence) Frank of Alliance, Harold (Judy) Frank of Homeworth, Vivian (Don) Krabill of Alliance, and Marlene (Jesse) Smith of Alliance; Sister-in-law, Joyce Frank of Alliance, and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, Otto and Marie (Gulling) Frank; his siblings, Edward (Mildred) Frank, Rita (Bill) Resh, Arthur Frank, Margaret (Virgil) Brown, sister-in-law, Pauline Frank, brother-in-law, John Skolosh and a grandson, Jason. The family would like to thank "Barb and her in home care givers" for the wonderful comfort which they provided to both Bob and Mary. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 25, 2012, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Maximo on Wednesday, September 26, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Howard Ziemba as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Maximo. Arrangements are by the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home, 1000 S.
