Robert L. Fagan's Obituary
Robert L. Fagan, 77, of Alliance, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 17, 2006, at 2:38 p.m. at Alliance Community Hospital. Born in Steubenville on October 12, 1928, Bob had lived in the Alliance area most of his life. A veteran of the US Army serving in World War II, he was a roofing contractor. Mr. Fagan was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and of the Knights of Columbus 558, 3rd and 4th Degrees. Bob is survived by his wife, Norma J. (Hunt) Fagan, they were married on January 25, 1953; two daughters, Amy (William) Flynn III of Black River, NY, and Susan (Paul) Duncan of Salineville; four sons, Robert W. (Pam) Fagan, Franklin C. (Freda) Fagan, Matthew J. (Lori) Fagan, and James H. (Maryanne) Fagan, all of Alliance; 24 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Tara Eaton and Paula Fagan; his parents, Warren F. and Emma (Warren) Fagan; three sisters, Hilda Parker, Betty Lacher, and Mary Muhleman; and three brothers, Warren B., Douglas, and Alfred Fagan. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Friday, January 20, 2006, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Knights of Columbus service will be held at 9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Saturday, January 21, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Donald L. Feicht as celebrant. Interment, with military honors provided by the Alliance American Legion Post 166 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1036, will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
